Short, Mid, or Long-Term Training: How to Choose the Right Track for You

At FlexAcademy, every vocational program is available on three different tracks: Short, Mid, and Full (long-term). It's not just a question of how much time you have — each track serves a specific career goal. Here's how to choose the right one.

Short track (4 months): the essentials, fast

3 months of hands-on training + 1 month of company internship.

This track is for anyone who wants to quickly build operational skills in a trade — whether to start a business, upskill (refresher training), or simply try out a field before committing to something longer. The end-of-program defense is optional and takes place internally, in front of the centre's panel. You leave with an Attestation de Qualification Professionnelle (AQP), concrete proof of the skills you've gained.

A good fit if: you want to be operational quickly, you have a limited budget or time, or you want to explore a trade before committing long-term.

Mid track (6 months): a stronger foundation

4 months of hands-on training + 2 months of company internship.

This track goes deeper into each module than the Short track, with a mandatory internal defense at the end. You also receive an AQP issued by FlexAcademy — but with a more thorough skill base, valuable for roles that call for a bit more autonomy.

A good fit if: you want a genuinely solid skill base without immediately aiming for the state diploma, or your schedule doesn't allow for a full year's commitment.

Full track (1 year): the path to the state diploma

9 months of hands-on training + 3 months of company internship.

This is the most complete track, and the only one that leads to official recognition from the Cameroonian state. After your internship, you defend your project before a representative of the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP) — and you can then sit the national exam to earn the DQP or CQP, depending on your field, in addition to your AQP.

A good fit if: you're aiming for a long-term career, a diploma recognized by the state and internationally, or a higher-responsibility role that requires an official qualification.

One investment, flexible payment options

Whichever track you choose, payment can be split into installments to suit your needs — paying in full is never a requirement. Pay in full instead, and you'll even receive a discount. Exact terms are discussed with our front office when you register.

Intake dates tailored to each track

Intake dates vary by track: the first Monday of every month for the Short track, regular intake windows for the Mid track, and fixed intakes in October, November, December, and January for the Full track. When you register, you'll only be shown the dates that are still available.

If you're still unsure, ask yourself this simple question: do you need a state diploma for your career plans, or are you mainly looking to become skilled quickly? The answer will naturally point you toward the Full track or the Short/Mid tracks.
