DALF
Prepare for the DALF C1 or C2 with in-depth work on synthesis, argumentation and public speaking.
About this program
The exam
The DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) is the official diploma for the advanced levels, C1 and C2, awarded by the French Ministry of Education. C1 assesses the four skills separately; C2 is built on two papers that combine comprehension and production. The diploma is valid for life.
Who it is for
This program is for candidates who already have a very good level of French and want it officially recognised.
What it is used for
The DALF certifies advanced command of French for higher education, a career or a personal project. Admission requirements remain set by each institution.
What this program covers
Differences between C1 and C2, how the papers run, what examiners expect, and choosing which level to sit.
Long, complex recordings: lectures, interviews and broadcasts, with note-taking.
Texts of ideas and literary or journalistic writing: grasping implied meaning, tone and the structure of an argument.
The method for synthesising documents, then writing a structured, nuanced essay.
Preparing a presentation from documents, delivering it and defending your position before the panel.
The two combined C2 papers, oral and written, and the level of precision expected.
Full, timed papers under exam conditions, followed by detailed feedback so you know exactly what to work on last.
